The varied low mountain landscape offers the perfect tours for everyone: you’ll find relaxed routes for beginners as well as challenging routes for MTB experts. All in the UNESCO World Heritage region of the Ore Mountains/Krušnohoři.

The region was awarded this accolade in 2019. 22 parts in Saxony and the Czech Republic bear witness to the omnipresent mining culture that you’ll discover on all routes in the Ore Mountains.

Stoneman Miriquidi – feel the magic!

The German Stoneman, the only MTB adventure from Roland Stauder in Germany, promises the highest peaks in the Ore Mountains, exciting moments and beautiful views. Two countries, nine peaks and an altitude of 4,400 metres await you: 162 km of pure mountain bike emotion through the cultural, historical and geological highlights of the Ore Mountains.

The Stoneman Miriquidi takes you along forest paths, sections of single trails and through a few towns along the very well-signposted route and over nine of the highest summits of the German and Czech Ore Mountains. You’ll make flying visits to the trail centres in Rabenberg, Plesivec and Klinovec on the tour.

Unique MTB route

Depending on your fitness and pace, you can best tackle the unique MTB route in one, two or three days.

On each peak you’ll a stamping point and an information board with a map and description of the next section of the route. You can buy a starter package from each of the 24 accommodation partners and set off on the route. The MTB route is signposted in a counter-clockwise direction. More than 20 volunteer Stoneman Scouts provide the ideal signs during the season.

If you have any major technical problems while on the go, our service partners are available to offer advice and provide replacement parts. There is even a shuttle service for transfers or if you have to end the trip early for personal reasons!
